Please, read article 6 again to get a thorough reminder of this. It Sounds Too Intense and Anal. Just go ahead and read article 5 again, and you'll be reminded that the people who truly make things happen sound too intense. They sound like the anal, detail-oriented kid that makes everyone look stupid. But, in fact, we need more of these kids in our lives to create remarkable things. We need you to be remarkable. I'll let Seth Godin, the blogger who was on TIME Magazine's 25 best blogs of 2009 list, give you the thorough motivation to get your ass in gear. You don't have enough time to be both unhappy and mediocre. After all, sex addiction was what I was living with. I found myself driving around in any and all directions, not sure why I was going in the direction I was. I finally had the sense to pull the car over, stop, and try to figure out what I was doing. Odd, but in essence, it's what I needed to do with my life. I walked into the group room full of anger and fury about what my husband was doing. I was in absolute terror about my future and the future of my family, both financially and emotionally. The fear was overwhelming. I was in horrible pain about the choices and mistakes I had made, the shame about our situation. I knew I didn't know all of the facts. I would go through more shocks, hurt, shame, and outrage. However, for many, an avocado is a filling, nutrient-rich option to add to a plant-based, whole-grain diet. A Word on Coconut Oil

To finish the historical assessment of oil, we need to talk about coconut and palm oils. After trans fats were banned, the food industry started looking for other oils that were not animal-based and had a long shelf life. The search for so-called good fats was becoming something of a journey. First, saturated fats were used in abundance, and then their negative effects were discovered. PUFAs were felt to be good but had poor shelf life. We found later that hydrogenating PUFAs to make trans fats was actually worse. People shifted to non-hydrogenated PUFAs and MUFAs. Individuals in the food industry started asking if there were any other options. It's not just pointless, it's painful. Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you ought to set up a life you don't need to escape from. The steps are simple. Now, it's time to deal with the hard, rewarding questions to illuminate what you truly care about doing with your life. Here's the most important question to ask as you write out your goals, plan your days and make your goals a reality. What Will You Be Satisfied With? What if you never accomplished the goals you had in mind? Would you still be satisfied with how you lived your life? Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years is Annoying As you block out your time to effectively go after your goals, you'll begin to see further and further down the road. And it was in that room that I would find a way out of my shame and pain. Here I was walking into this group of women who had partners or husbands like mine.

Men who flagrantly, yet deceivingly, had been with other women in lots of different ways--women in massage parlors, women at work, even women who were supposedly friends. I had been living in a capsule for so long, drifting at sea, being tossed around in a storm. I was ready to no longer be alone. Your fear of being burdensome is an aspect of your codependency and is detrimental to your welfare. You deserve better; If childcare is a concern, think about asking a family member or trusted friend to sit with your children. If transportation is your problem, seek out community resources or public transportation. A twelve-step member will often offer to help you get to a meeting. They continued to look for cheap, palatable oils with a long shelf life. This brought attention to coconut and palm kernel oil, which are plant-based oils that are high in saturated fats. For instance, coconut oil is 90 percent saturated. The remainder is a small amount of unsaturated fat, primarily omega-6 fatty acids. What do we know about coconut oil? Not much, really. We know from early studies that saturated fats increase our risk of cardiovascular mortality and that the hydrogenated forms of coconut oils that were popular in the 1980s were extremely harmful. We learned from the monkey studies that all oils cause atherosclerotic disease. Coconut oil also doesn't have a good ratio of omega-3s to omega-6s, so it appears to be pro-inflammatory. Is there more to it, though? You'll begin to map out what next year will look like and, even, what the next decade looks like. Before you bought this article, a lot of questions were swirling around your head.

What do I actually want to do with my life? What do I genuinely care about? Where do you see yourself in the next year? Where do you see yourself in the next five years? The where do you see yourself question still irritates me. Who can legitimately answer this question? No one can confidently say what the heck their lives will be like in five years. And, if you gave a confident answer, how do you know that what you predict will happen? If you maintain a high profile in your community and you feel that the visibility of participating in a group would greatly impact other areas of your life, know that the anonymity at twelve-step meetings is sacred, and confidentiality is required in therapy with a professional. Also, here in the United States there are specialists in the sex addiction field working with many high-profile individuals and couples. But it is mostly fear and shame that will keep you away. As you allow your reality to be acknowledged, the fear and shame will lessen. I cannot emphasize enough the healing power of a group--whether it is a self-help group or therapy group--of women who have experiences similar to yours. In both twelve-step groups and therapy, confidentiality is strongly adhered to. I know you probably feel ashamed and angry and don't want to be exposed. You think this is a private issue and may be concerned about your family's anonymity. Yet it is in the group experience that many women heal to a degree they never imagined possible. In the group they come to realize their healing journey is a gift to themselves that will take them through life and its ultimate challenges. Why has it become popular? Coconut oil is different from other saturated fats because it is primarily made of medium-chain triglycerides (lauric acid).

There is some preliminary data on its role in preventing Alzheimer's disease. One trial from 2009 looked at 20 women ages 20 to 40 years. They were given 30 milliliters of soybean oil or coconut oil. The coconut oil group was noted to have slightly higher HDL levels (49 gm/dL versus 45 gm/ dL) and a slightly better ratio of LDL cholesterol to HDL cholesterol. This difference was quite small, though. There was also an association regarding weight loss in the coconut oil group. Because coconut oil is made of medium-chain fatty acids instead of long-chain fatty acids like most other fats, some scientists believe it is not stored in the body as fat deposits. It may even be associated with fat burning. It's a question with practically zero genuine confidence attached to it. You may have come this far in the article and still haven't found out what you want in life. Even while writing this article, I'm still tossing and turning. You could be 25 years old, like me, or 50 years old, and still deal with this same lurking question. We've got many years ahead of us. Some will say to live every day like it's your last. Steve Jobs apparently asked himself this question each morning: If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today? Ray Charles, the famous blind pianist, agrees. He says, Live each day like it's your last, `cause one day you gonna be right. The way I see it, this question isn't helpful. Even though you have read how many women found answers in a group setting you may still find yourself procrastinating. Yes, but I have childcare problems.
