It reminds you to meditate; Put your Rational Current in charge of keeping track of the wins in your life. Remind it to put out a memo to yourself to celebrate all that flows into your life. Ask it to keep track of your body sensations and emotions. Allow it to remind you to fully experience a wave of energy and to keep track of how often you check in with yourself. Your Rational Current can keep track and file away the ideas and information from the imaginings and visions of your Creative Current. Allow it to keep track of when good things flow into your life, and let it remind you to focus on your collage twice every day and to stay balanced and enjoy the flow of abundance into your life. It can keep track of when you set in place your feng shui cures and the results. And put it in charge of seeing that you eat, work, play, rest, and sleep in a balanced way. When it comes back to ask for more, thank it and ask it to accompany your Creative Current out to look for a rainbow and the pot of gold that just fell into the river. Generally, such groupings have few things, or one element, at the top with several things below one another, Ike the structure of an inverted tree. Computer science examples include a directory hierarchy, in which each directory can contain files or other lists, a hierarchical network, or an object-oriented programming class hierarchy. Neurological Rates are thus hierarchic. That is, each level in the hierarchy has to do with groupings of phenomena or experiences from below it. In this way, the level system can be interpreted as an inverted tree structure. Once we hit the heart and field point, we can flip the tree structure so that it stretches upward like a tree's branches. This shows the much larger systems and fields that we are part of. This tree structure assumes that a given group of beliefs and values forms and represents a single identity in it. Also, each idea and value is linked to a given group of capabilities. The capacities relate to unique behavioral groupings, and mostly the behaviors relate to particular clusters of environmental conditions.

But the one thing I didn't admit to awareness was that in spite of knowing that they didn't intend to injure or attack me, I felt as if they did. I felt sorry for myself, too, and though I admitted that to some extent, I had no patience with it, and denied a good bit of it. The person who is psychologically sophisticated tends to feel that he has not rejected his own attitudes and feelings, because he has accepted those which are commonly denied. But if there is internal strain and a lack of integration, it seems always to be due to the fact that sensations and feelings which organically exist are prevented from entering into awareness. Miss Cam then discusses another attitude which she has held which she feels was not basically her own. It was an attitude, not wholly my attitude. She continues: As a result . I was worth precisely nothing, and I couldn't convince myself otherwise, in spite of all evidence to the contrary. Say something unpleasant about me, and I'd agree immediately and wholeheartedly; The River of Shame These three currents can work together to create a separate, lonely stream, the River of Shame. This one is not connected to the River of Gold nor does it flow to the ocean of abundance with heart. It's not on the map; We hide and go underground when we experience shame. We may feel so much shame that we withdraw our energy from our own life and flow. Most people have traveled on this river at one time or another, and many of us have participated in events that keep this river flowing. Rarely do we want to remember the event, the things leading up to it, or the thoughts, imaginings, and emotions that combine to create the experience of humiliation that floats on the river's current. You will know if this is true for you. The classic game on the River of Shame begins with one person who is absorbed with the energy of self-righteousness.

Behavior is the prime focus at the level of change in behavior. External representations are only relevant in so far as they help tone. At the level of change in capacity, the primary focus is on internal representations. Behaviors, with respect to access to information, are only necessary for so far as they support the creation or production of intimate images. Responses can be generalized once internal representations are created. Reformat the level of beliefs and values focuses on representation relationships. The quality of the representations is far less significant than its conditions of sub modality. That is why changing sub modalities are generating such essential effective responses. A shift of spirit stems from collecting identities that make up the 'field. Neurological Levels and the Nervous System It wasn't false modesty either, I really felt desperately uncomfortable and dishonest in accepting appreciation. This would appear to be a good example of the tenacity with which the individual holds to the concept of self around which he has organized experience. It is as difficult to accept experience which would expand this self as to accept material which would constrict it -- both types of experience are inconsistent with the picture we maintain of self, and are rejected. The client's description of the interview itself contains some elements that are new and significant. I was eager to come to the interview this time: I had things I wanted to tackle, and it couldn't be too soon for me. It's maddening the way those things disappear when you come to say them -- my mind is a complete blank, not even any irrelevancies to seize on. The trick in dealing with it seems to be not to force things -- just resign yourself to the blank, and wait for it to yield up something. I'm scarcely conscious of you any more; I'm not scared of your opinion of me (or at least, the tiny remnants just amuse me) though in a sense I'm much more aware of the fact that you must have one, and I'd be quite genuinely interested in hearing it. And quite undisturbed by it, I think.

Feeling superior over someone else is based in fear and a subtle message that we are not good enough, that there is something fundamentally wrong with us. Eventually the critical person gathers followers and begins to condemn, shame, and cast out a third person. Classic examples are the comments by someone who appears to be wealthier than you, at a nice restaurant or an upscale store, criticizing your clothing or appearance. Some employees at upscale resorts, restaurants, and shops play this superior shaming game when they treat you like you cannot afford the merchandise or service they offer. And gossip, especially the vicious kind, is about shaming you and cutting you to your core. For example, I mean, how could she possibly think that she could even fit in. Some of the experiences on the River of Shame that people have labeled as emotions are actually thoughts or mental concepts with lots of judgment attached. A classic is feeling dumb or stupid, especially with handling money. Here the mind has judged some action or comment, often very harshly. I am imagining that the emotion of fear might be combined with the judgment of being dumb or stupid, depending on whether your early experiences had that combination. In 1988 I encoded the definition as the Neurological Stages model, which relates Bateson's processing stages to that nervous system. Bateson himself (Steps to a Mind's Ecology, pp. An individual may passively change his or her sense organs to perceive the surroundings. A person's nervous system needs to mobilize further to take action in a given environment. An individual has to use even more of the nervous system to organize individual acts in a complex sequence, such as dancing or driving an automobile. Neurology (including those linked to the heart and goods) involves an even more exceptional dedication to developing and manifesting beliefs and values about capabilities, behaviors, and environment. A sense of self results from a complete mobilization at all other stages of the nervous system. Then, in general, higher process rates activate a more profound timid system commitment. A physical environment is composed of factors that surround an individual or group, such as the type of external setting, weather conditions, food, noise level, etc Neurologically, our sensory experiences refer to information that comes from our sense organs and peripheral nervous system. For example, to interpret a specific area, a person views it with his or her eyes to see any related objects, listens to significant sounds with his or her ears, detects odors through his or her nose, and feels the air temperature on his or her skin.

I'm always interested in what you say, now, and perfectly willing to postpone something I was just going to say in order to listen -- and really listen -- to you. You said a lot of things this time that penetrated so far behind what I said that I had some difficulty in seeing that it was what I really meant. And yet you were right, and in spite of your outstripping me so far, I was interested and stimulated, rather than frightened into retreat. Oh golly, I was frightened once, wasn't I? Right near the beginning, when I said something about being rather better off than most people and you rephrased it so that I looked downright conceited. You scored a bull's eye with that one, as I subsequently realized very clearly indeed, but at the time I ran rapidly in the opposite direction. At one point, you said something about relationships that I couldn't see at all. Yet I had the feeling that it was somehow right, so I just agreed without understanding and went on. Judging from the results, the interview was a howling success, and all your remarks went in the direction I was trying to go. Yet I imagine that some people on reading a record of it, would say that it was a beautiful demonstration of the contention that counselors do introduce their own evaluations and do direct the client. Other judgmental words include: clumsy, awkward, humiliated, dumb, dorky. Although we may have some emotion connected with a word or experience, these are mental constructs with lots of judgment attached to them, not clear emotions. So release the judgment, the thoughts and images. If you instruct your Rational Current to remember more favorable comments about your abilities with money, then it will, with delight! Using the word should sends people underground where the River of Shame flows. You should do this indicates not only that you are not measuring up but that you probably will not in the future. You also flow with the River of Shame when you say You are making me. Fill in the blank for the emotion and the actions. This language blames someone else as if he is controlling your experience. Such language also attempts to shame him into feeling guilty, diminishing his sense of self.
